Salty Mini Vegan Chocolate Bites with Sunflower Seeds (Sugar-Free)
If you love quick, clean and easy treats, these mini chocolate bites will become your new favorite snack. Made with only two basic ingredients, completely sugar-free, and with that magical sweet-salty contrast… they disappear in seconds!
Τhey easily come together in the kitchen: melted chocolate over a bain-marie, raw sunflower seeds, and tiny paper cups lined up on a mini cupcake tray. It’s a relaxing, playful process — perfect even for kids.
Ingredients
- 4x125g vegan dark chocolate, sugar-free (with stevia or another sweetener)
- 200-300g raw sunflower seeds
- (Optional) a pinch of sea salt on top and a pinch of cinamon powder in the mix
How to Make Them
1) Melt the chocolate
Heat a small pot with a little sunflower oil and place a bowl on top to create a bain-marie. Add the chocolate pieces and stir until smooth, silky and fully melted. At this point, the whole house smells like chocolate.
2) Add the sunflower seeds
Remove the bowl from the heat and pour in the sunflower seeds. Mix well. You want a thick mixture with lots of seeds in every spoonful, just like in the photo.
3) Fill the mini cups
Line the mini paper cups on a mini cupcake tray (this helps them hold their shape) and use a small spoon to drop one bite-sized portion of the mixture into each cup. I don’t smooth the tops — I love the rustic texture they naturally create.
4) The salty touch
Before placing them in the fridge, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt on top. This little detail makes a huge difference.
5) Chill & enjoy
Place the tray in the fridge for 30–40 minutes until fully set. Once cold, they pop out of the paper cups easily — and they’re ready to vanish!
Serving & Storage
I store them in small boxes or bowls and keep them in the fridge, especially on warm days. They stay fresh easily for 10 days… if they last that long!
Variations
- Swap sunflower seeds for pumpkin seeds.
- Add a bit of vanilla or cinnamon to the melted chocolate.
- Choose 85% dark chocolate for an even deeper cocoa flavor.
